Jessica Terrill, an architect with Substance Architecture, is a recipient of the American Institute of Architects’ 2019 Young Architects Award, according to a release. The award recognizes individuals who have shown exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the profession early in their architectural careers. Terrill “represents the energetic, engaged and talented architect we hope all of those entering our profession will become in the formative years of their career,” said Thomas Leslie, professor of architecture and director of Graduate Education for the College of Design, Architecture Department at Iowa State University. Terrill’s design work ranges from high-end residences to private corporate environments to highly public infrastructure projects.
