Tomorrow Plan public meetings scheduled
The Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization has scheduled three public input sessions for The Tomorrow Plan, a regional planning effort focused on sustainable development. The sessions will gather feedback on the project’s first major outcome: a scenario that pictures the metro in 2050 if the area continues with “business as usual.” The first session will be held Jan. 31 from 6 to 7: 30 p.m. at the Eastside Senior Center, 1231 E. 26th St., Des Moines; Feb. 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Des Moines Public Library, 1000 Grand Ave., and Feb. 2 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Urbandale City Hall, 3600 86th St. Admission to each session is free, and light refreshments will be served at no charge.
