Broadcasting Inc. has named Robert “Bobby” Totsch as vice president and general manager of NBC affiliate WHO-TV, and its associated mobile and digital operations, including whotv.com. Totsch, who has more than 30 years of broadcast experience in station management and operations, most recently held general manager and market director roles for four television stations in the Mobile, Ala., and Pensacola, Fla., markets. Earlier in his career he was general manager of KCTV-TV (CBS) and KSMO-TV (MyNetwork) in Kansas City, Kan. He will assume his new responsibilities immediately and report to Mike Vaughn, senior vice president and regional manager of Nexstar Broadcasting. Nexstar Media Group acquired Tribune Media, whose stations included WHO-TV, in December 2018. Totsch has increased ratings and revenue at every station he has managed, Vaughn said in a press release. The previous vice president and general manager was Dale Woods, who departed in August 2017 for a general manager position with WSMV-TV in Nashville.
