Traffic camera tickets net city nearly $160,000 in July
The city of Des Moines had a net revenue of $159,966 on traffic camera citations in July, the city reported yesterday.
A total of 3,479 citations were issued from the Interstate 235 speed camera, along with 713 from the mobile speed camera and 976 from five red light cameras.
Total revenues equaled $261,835, and $101,869 was paid to Gatso USA Traffic Enforcement Solutions, the city’s contractor.
