Grimes celebrated the opening of a new Tru by Hilton hotel earlier this month in its fast-growing Hope District development.

Hope Development & Realty LLC, in partnership with Great Lakes Management Group LLC,  held a grand opening of the 116-room hotel, adjacent to the Hy-Vee Multiplex sports complex, on Oct. 9.

Reza Kargarzdeh, owner of Hope Development & Realty, said partnering with Hilton and Great Lakes Management Group helped bring the hotel’s vision to fruition.

“Our goal with the Tru by Hilton Grimes was to create a hotel that enhances the spirit of growth and excitement happening in this area,” he said in a news release. “We envisioned a place that brings people together — a vibrant, modern, and welcoming space for both residents and visitors. Partnering with Hilton and Great Lakes Management Group made that vision possible, and we’re proud to see it come to life.”

The hotel features an open-concept lobby with zones for working, playing, eating and relaxing. It also has a 24/7 “Eat & Sip” market that offers snacks, beverages and local favorites, and a state-of-the-art fitness center and business amenities.

Kargarzdeh said the Tru by Hilton Grimes reflects a shared vision of a high-quality lodging experience that complements the momentum and growth being experienced in Grimes and the Des Moines metro. The hotel will be managed by Great Lakes Management Group.
