Tom Leslie, an Iowa State University architecture professor and Jessica Terrill of Substance Architecture in Des Moines were honored at the Oct. 15 Design Awards celebration of the American Institute of Architects, Iowa Chapter. Leslie was given the chapter’s annual Educator award and Terrill received the inaugural Young Architect award. Leslie has also won the organization’s national education award and Terrill has won several design awards already in her career.
