Two Iowans to be honored as Women of Worth
Dr. Ida Johnson of Davenport and Sarah Cronk of Bettendorf were selected as Women of Worth honorees.
The Women of Worth program, which is now in its seventh year, honors women making a difference in their communities.
Ten women are selected out of thousands of nominees, and each receives $10,000 for their organizations.
Johnson is the founder of United Neighbors Inc., an organization that offer programs in education, housing, financial literacy and multicultural health care.
Cronk is the founder of The Sparkle Effect, a student-run program that helps teenagers include students with disabilities in school-based cheerleading and dance programs.
