U.S. Bank launches mobile deposits
U.S. Bank on Monday launched mobile banking enhancements that will let customers use mobile devices to deposit checks and monitor credit card activity. The service, which will initially be available to U.S. Bank Mobile Wallet users who have an iPhone, will let customers deposit checks into their checking or savings accounts from their mobile devices. U.S. Bank, with $308 billion in assets, is the first large bank besides JPMorgan Chase & Co. to let consumers deposit checks via mobile device. Bank of America Corp. is testing it, according to Bank Systems Technology.
