UNI president to depart for Ohio college job

University of Northern Iowa President William Ruud is leaving Iowa to accept a job at a small private liberal arts college in Ohio, The Des Moines Register reported. Marietta College in Ohio announced Wednesday evening that Ruud was selected as its next president. Ruud, 63, has been UNI president since 2013. He will assume his new duties at Marietta College on July 3. An interim president for UNI will be named at the June meeting of the Iowa Board of Regents.
