The Iowa Board of Regents announced today that Jim Wohlpart, University of Northern Iowa provost and interim president, is the second of three finalists who will be considered to fill the UNI president position. Wohlpart will meet Wednesday with faculty, staff, students and members of the community. Before coming to UNI as provost in 2015, Wohlpart was dean of undergraduate studies at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Fla., where he worked in various positions in the College of Arts and Sciences since 1997. Wohlpart received his Ph.D. in English from the University of Tennessee in 1993. More information on the UNI president finalists and a schedule of their visits can be found here.
