United Way of Central Iowa’s Stuff the Bus gathers books for Central Iowa children

104 wordsAll Latest News, Education, Nonprofits and PhilanthropyUnited Way of Central Iowa will host its annual Stuff the Bus book drive from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 14 at Athene USA in West Des Moines. The event is part of a community-wide initiative to provide children with greater access to books to improve their reading skills. Local businesses, including Athene and EY, and individual volunteers, will collect new and gently used books for children ages birth to middle school. Every book donated will be distributed to child care or child-serving programs in Dallas, Polk and Warren counties. To learn more about the program or get involved, click here.
