United Way seeks volunteers for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program
United Way of Central Iowa is seeking volunteers for its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program that prepares taxes for low- and moderate-income Central Iowans from January to April. Last year, VITA volunteers helped more than 4,000 families receive refunds that went toward paying bills, covering basic needs and saving for the future.
