Patricia Newland

UnityPoint Clinic announced that Dr. Patricia Newland has been promoted to regional vice president/medical director for UnityPoint Clinic Central Iowa, which includes 50 clinics. Newland, currently the medical director of quality for UnityPoint Clinic, replaces Dr. Dan Allen, who was promoted to vice president/medical director for UnityPoint Clinic. A graduate of UnityPoint Health’s Physician Leadership Academy class of 2011-12, Newland has had numerous leadership roles within UnityPoint Clinic. She was one of the first associate medical directors in family medicine, and was the Patient Centered Medical Home physician lead involved with developing and implementing the model across the organization. Newland completed her residency in family medicine at the East Des Moines Family Medicine Residency Program and started a new family medicine practice in Norwalk.
