Urbandale to hold primary election Oct. 8

95 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and LawThe city of Urbandale will hold a primary election on Oct. 8 because seven candidates have filed nomination papers for three open seats on the City Council. Vying for the open seats are Lawrence McBurney, Rebecca Haroldson, Bridget Carberry Montgomery, Adam Obrecht, Matt Blake, Pat Pithan and John Bouslog. The six top vote-getters will be on the Nov. 5 ballot. Polls for the primary election will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. A listing of polling places for both Dallas and Polk county residents can be found on the Polk County auditor’s website.
