The U.S.-China Business Council today released the results of its 2010 Member Priorities Survey. The Washington, D.C.-based organization, which represents about 220 U.S. businesses that sell American goods and services to the Chinese market, identified the recruitment and retention of talent; administrative licensing, business and product approvals; and competition with state-owned enterprises as the top three concerns of its member companies. “U.S. companies remain committed to doing business in China and report growing revenues and investments,” said John Frisbie, the council’s president. “At the same time, concerns about protectionism, intellectual property protection and continued market access barriers are persistent and increasing.” Frisbie said 87 percent of respondents stated their China operations posted revenue growth in 2009.
