Van Meter Inc. names new president and CEO

Van Meter Inc. announced that Lura McBride has been appointed president and CEO by the company’s board of directors. Based in Cedar Rapids, Van Meter is a nationwide distributor of electrical and mechanical products. McBride joined the company in 2008 as vice president of organizational effectiveness and was promoted to chief operating officer in 2010. She replaces Kevin Powell who, by mutual agreement with the board of directors, left to pursue other interests.
