Veridian Credit Union opens applications for Successful Financial Future Grants

Up to $5,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations that work to address barriers to financial stability through financial literacy or employment readiness. Applications are due Oct. 15, and grants will be awarded in December. In total, $100,000 will be distributed for general operating grants to qualifying nonprofit organizations serving residents in Veridian’s geographic field of membership, including Iowa. “Financial literacy and employment readiness are essential tools for building a successful financial future,” Angela Weekley, Veridian’s manager of community inclusion, said in a prepared statement. “Supporting the organizations in our communities who provide those tools is central to Veridian’s mission and our core values.” To learn more or apply, click here.
