A panel of industry leaders and economists at the Business Record’s Made in Iowa: Manufacturing Forecast event examined the latest trends and provided their forecast for the state of Iowa’s manufacturing industry for the remainder of 2021 and into 2022. Yarelis Hernandez – site manager, Clinton Complex, Clinton, Iowa, for LyondellBasell Industries, a multinational chemical company and the world’s largest licensor of polyethylene and polypropylene technologies.


Gül Kremer – Wilkinson Professor, Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Iowa State University


Hank Norem – president and CEO, Ramco Innovations, an industrial equipment supplier based in West Des Moines, and co-chair of the Iowa Innovation Council’s Advanced Manufacturing Work Group.
