The West Des Moines City Council will consider a $31,000 incentive package when it meets today for software developer ePATHUSA Inc.’s planned $1 million expansion and move to an office building under construction by R&R Realty Group. The city incentives are required components of tax credits approved in July by the Iowa Economic Development Authority board. The package from the city of West Des Moines is a five-year sliding scale rebate of property taxes valued at $23,000, a $4,000 forgivable loan and $4,000 loan at 0 percent interest. The IEDA board approved a $20,000 loan at 0 percent interest, a $20,000 forgivable loan and a rebate of $34,545 in sales taxes that are paid during construction. The company plans to add five jobs over three years.
