A number of companies have delayed their earnings reports as Hurricane Sandy threatens the Northeast, MarketWatch reported. Among them are New York-based Pfizer Inc., which delayed its report to Thursday from Tuesday, New Orleans-based Entergy Corp., which pushed back its report to Nov. 5 from Tuesday, and Princeton, N.J.-based NRG Energy Inc., which delayed its report to Friday from Wednesday. Thomson Reuters, the New York financial-information provider, postponed its report to Friday from Tuesday. U.S. financial markets are closed today as Hurricane Sandy heads for landfall, probably sometime tonight.
