The Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place Saturday at the state Capitol. Thousands of Iowans will walk to raise awareness and funds to enhance Alzheimer’s care and support, and to advance critical research. Alzheimer’s Association-funded research studies are currently underway at Iowa State University and the University of Iowa. The event will feature the Promise Garden Ceremony, a moving experience that allows participants to raise flowers representing their promise to remember, honor, care and fight for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.
