Two incumbents won re-election to the Broadlawns Medical Center Board of Trustees on Tuesday, and a former Des Moines school board member will join them, The Des Moines Register reported. Janet Metcalf and Mary Krieg will remain on the seven-member board overseeing the public hospital. Marc Ward was elected to fill an open spot created when incumbent Jean Logan decided not to seek re-election. Metcalf is a former legislator from Urbandale. Krieg, a consultant, has a doctorate in nursing. Ward is a lawyer and former school board member. The other contenders were Broadlawns nurses Roseann Norris and Shelli Off and union leader Mark Cooper.
