Waukee becomes Home Base Iowa community
The city of Waukee will be recognized as the 43rd Home Base Iowa community during a ceremony at 3 p.m. Sept. 15 at Waukee City Hall. Home Base Iowa is a program that assists veterans, transitioning service members and their families by connecting them with career opportunities, resources and benefits for a successful transition in Iowa and a place to call home. Sixteen Waukee businesses will be participating in the initiative, offering career opportunities and a number of incentives.
