Wellmark unveils new logo, tagline
Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Iowa’s largest health insurer, this morning unveiled a new corporate logo and tagline, “Your health, well protected,” which company officials said are aimed at redefining its brand in a “cleaner, simpler way.” The new logo highlights the blue cross and blue shield and will be easier to view in electronic media, said Keith Heckel, Wellmark’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “With more people relying on e-communications, it’s critical that our materials are easily viewable on new technologies,” he said in a release. Wellmark based the new tagline on research conducted earlier this year, in which its members expressed a high degree of desire and confidence in the company’s ability to pay claims accurately, easily connect them with participating health-care providers and offer additional services that promote health and wellness.
