Wells Fargo is donating $100,000 to Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity and on Tuesday team members are building the walls of a Habitat house to celebrate the 100th Habitat house supported by the financial institution in the Des Moines area. In addition, Wells Fargo team members will log the 100,000th volunteer hour with Habitat. The walls of the house will be built in the parking lot of one of Wells Fargo’s offices in West Des Moines. The walls will be part of a house being constructed in Des Moines’ Birdland area, which was devastated by floods in 1993 and 2008. Since 1997, Wells Fargo has contributed more than $3 million to Des Moines Habitat to support affordable homeownership opportunities.
