Wells Fargo tops $1 billion in SBA loans
Wells Fargo & Co. has approved $1.24 billion in small business loans under the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) 7(a) program in the past year, the Charlotte Business Journal reported. It’s the second consecutive year the lender has topped $1 billion in the SBA program. Wells Fargo has been the largest volume SBA lender in the United States for four years in a row. The bank said it is also the highest volume SBA lender in 15 states, and the largest lender in number of loans in seven states, including Iowa.
