Wells Fargo volunteers earn $60,000 for 27 Iowa nonprofits

Twenty-seven nonprofit organizations throughout Iowa will receive a total of $60,000 in grants from Wells Fargo & Co. through the company’s Volunteer Service Award program, which recognizes team members who make an exceptional impact through volunteerism. Worldwide, 224 Wells Fargo team members received 2015 Volunteer Service Awards, and the company recognized them by donating $528,000 to the nonprofits they serve. One team member in Des Moines, Alexander Samaniego, earned a $10,000 grant for Al Éxito, which helps prepare middle-school Latinas and Latinos for post-high school education. Six other Iowa nonprofits each received $5,000 grants, and the remaining 20 team members received $1,000 grants for their nonprofits. Click here to see a list of all the grant winners.
