White House Christmas card to feature Des Moines artist’s work
A Des Moines artist’s painting will be featured on the official White House Christmas card, The Des Moines Register reported.
Larassa Kabel’s work was chosen by first lady Michelle Obama over artists nationwide. Each artist submitted a painting based on either the White House or Bo, the Obama family dog.
Kabel chose to paint Bo with a scarf around his neck. Kabel and her husband, Chris Snethen, are invited to a party at the White House on Dec. 18.
