Des Moines Metro Opera’s Wine & Food Showcase will take place Feb. 20 at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown. Central Iowa chefs and caterers will join with Iowa vintners, brewers and distributors to wine and dine patrons with signature offerings. Proceeds from the Wine & Food Showcase will benefit Des Moines Metro Opera’s mainstage opera productions and educational and cultural programs, including OPERA Iowa Educational Touring Troupe and the Apprentice Artist Program. Tickets are $50 at the door, but buyers can get discounted tickets for $40 if they purchase in advance of the event either online or over the phone.
