Forest City-based Winnebago Industries Inc. announced it has entered into an agreement for 2015 for the sale of more than 500 motor homes to one of North America’s leading recreation vehicle rental companies, Apollo Motorhome Holidays LLC. The agreement is a continuation of a relationship with Apollo that began last year, Winnebago’s chairman, president and CEO, Randy Potts, said in a release. “We believe the rental market provides a great opportunity for people looking to experience the RV lifestyle and create future RV owners,” he said. The 2015 sale to Apollo is structured differently than last year’s, as there is no repurchase obligation to Winnebago. Based on the planned delivery schedule, Winnebago will ship approximately two-thirds of the units in its fiscal third quarter, which ends May 31, and one-third in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015.
