Winter Farmers’ Market to move
The Downtown Winter Farmers’ Market is moving to Hy-Vee Hall this year. The event will be Nov. 22-23 and Dec. 13-14 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. The market had been held at Capital Square, but moved to expand the space available, the Greater Des Moines Partnership reported. Hy-Vee Hall will have room for an extra 20 vendors, bringing the total to around 150. “The Winter Market has become a popular and must-attend event in Downtown DSM leading up to the holidays, and the number of quality vendors that want to be a part of the event has continued to grow,” Downtown Farmers’ Market Director Kelly Foss said in a release. The outdoor Downtown Farmers’ Market in the Historic Court Avenue District runs on Saturday mornings through Oct. 26, with nearly 300 vendors.
