World-Tri competitor Charlie Wittmack will reunite with 14 cancer survivors and Dr. Richard Deming of Mercy Cancer Center on Aug. 18 to recount their journey to Mount Everest. The event, “Committed to the Core: An Evening of Inspiration,” will feature Wittmack, who met the cancer survivors at the Everest base camp prior to completing his climb to complete his World Triathlon. WHO-TV’s Erin Kiernan will moderate the event. Tickets are available now for $12.50 at the Hoyt Sherman Box Office, at Ticketmaster.com and at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Mercy Cancer Center survivorship program.
