Women architects group to hold first meeting
A group of Central Iowa women involved in architecture and urban design have founded a nonprofit organization dedicated to issues facing women in architecture.
Iowa Women in Architecture will hold an initial organizational meeting on Sept. 30 from 7 to 7:45 a.m. at the studio of Substance Architecture, 1300 Walnut St. The organization is modeling itself after similar organizations throughout the country, including Chicago Women in Architecture and Kansas City Women in Design.
