The World Food Prize Foundation announced it will be partnering with Meals From the Heartland to host a meal packaging service event during the the 19th annual Iowa Hunger Summit on June 16. Volunteers will work together from 2:30-3:30 p.m. to package more than 35,000 meals for Iowans experiencing food insecurity. “This meal-packaging event is a vital expression of the Summit’s theme, From the Ground Up,” said Mashal Husain, president, World Food Prize Foundation. “It’s a chance for Iowans to come together and take direct action to support our neighbors in need.” To register as a volunteer for the meal packaging event, click here.
