John Agyekum Kufuor, the former president of Ghana, and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, former president of Brazil, are the 2011 World Food Prize laureates. The symposium on meeting food needs around the globe is Oct. 12-14 at  the Des Moines Marriott Downtown.
