Yesway, a new West Des Moines-based convenience store chain, announced that it has hired industry veteran Joseph Petrowski as a senior adviser and a member of the firm’s executive committee. From 2005 through 2013, Petrowski led the Cumberland Farms Gulf Oil Group, a diversified petroleum and retail convenience store holding company located in 29 states with $13 billion in annual revenues. Petrowski will work closely with Yesway’s senior operations executives to implement the company’s business plan to build a portfolio of up to 1,000 convenience stores within the next several years, the company said in a release. He will be based at the headquarters of parent company Brookwood Financial Partners LLC in Beverly, Mass. Yesway announced its launch earlier this month.
