Global Spectrum, operator of the Iowa Events Center, has announced a series of enhancements to Wells Fargo Arena over the next few months geared toward an improved game production and enhanced fan experience for visitors to the arena. The upgrades take place as the arena prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary this July. The overall project, which is valued at $2.5 million, will include a new Musco lighting system, new exterior marquees, an upgrade to high-definition televisions on the concourse, HD camera equipment with a new Daktronics control room, and a Daktronics HD Center hung video board. The first project will begin Sunday, May 17. The upgrades to Wells Fargo Arena will be completed prior to the Iowa Wild and Iowa Energy seasons. Read more about the proposed upgrades online.
