The 2015 Iowa Women’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the State Historical Building in Des Moines. The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the ceremony in the atrium of the building. Aug. 26 is Women’s Equality Day, which commemorates the day in 1920 when American women first obtained the right to vote. The Friends of the Iowa Commission on the Status of Women will also host a luncheon starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel.
