The Central Iowa Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals today recognized the 2024 Philanthropy Day award winners at the 39th Annual Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon. The Philanthropy Day awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the quality of life in Central Iowa.

The 2024 award winners are:

• Outstanding Large Corporate/Foundation Philanthropy – Des Moines Scheels
• Outstanding Small Corporate/Foundation Philanthropy – GreenState Credit Union
• Outstanding Individual Philanthropist – Grant Kvalheim
• Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser – Christine Hensley
• Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy – Audrey Whalin  
• Spirit of Philanthropy – J. Scott Raecker

The Association of Fundraising Professionals represents more than 26,000 fundraisers in 170 chapters around the world, and the Central Iowa Chapter of AFP serves over 100 fundraising professionals who work for a variety of charitable organizations in Central Iowa.
