In what will be its first ticketed, in-person performances since before the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Des Moines Performing Arts has announced two new concerts for December and March. The all-vocal country show Home Free’s Warmest Winter Tour 2021 is scheduled for Dec. 15. Disney Princess – The Concert is scheduled for March 15, 2022. Tickets for both Civic Center performances go on sale at 10 a.m. on May 21. Jonathan Brendemuehl, Des Moines Performing Arts spokesperson, said the theater is excited to welcome audiences back for live performances. “This is just one of many promising announcements we have on the horizon,” he said in a news release. “Our donors and audiences have stuck with us through the pandemic and we are delighted to resume operations for them later this year.” Specific health and safety guidelines for audiences will be announced closer to the performances.
