Downtown Des Moines Hy-Vee to close for conversion into HealthMarket
Des Moines Register: Hy-Vee will close its downtown Des Moines supermarket so it can be converted into a version of the chain’s HealthMarket concept and a sit-down Chinese and sushi restaurant. Spokesperson Christina Gayman said Tuesday that the closure and conversion of the store, on Court Avenue between Fourth and Fifth streets, will come “in the near future,” though the company has not announced when exactly the changes will occur. She said the store’s employees will keep their jobs.
