Greater Des Moines Partnership’s virtual DMDC series begins next week

164 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and LawThe Greater Des Moines Partnership is holding a series of events beginning next week to replace its annual advocacy trip to Washington, D.C., in May, which was canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. According to a news release, the series, called DMDC 2020, will feature four days of programming on specific topics. The first day, Tuesday, Sept. 15, will be introduction day, followed by infrastructure day on Thursday, Sept. 17, small business day on Tuesday, Sept. 22, and talent day on Thursday, Sept. 24. Programming will feature presentations from Iowa’s congressional delegation, including Sens. Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst, and Rep. Cindy Axne. There will also be breakout groups. Registration is free, and is open only to Partnership members and investors. To register for any or all of the events, click here. It was announced last week that Chuck Todd, political director of NBC News and moderator of Meet the Press, will participate in a moderated questions and answer session on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
