Junior Achievement of Central Iowa’s 12th Annual JA Stock Market Challenge raised more than $80,000. The annual event held April 9 was a success due to the support of many supporting organizations, including presenting sponsor Farm Bureau Financial Services, as well as other leading sponsors: EMC Insurance, John Deere Financial, MidAmerican Energy and Prairie Meadows. This year’s event was held in Johnston at John Deere Financial with the event committee co-chaired by Casey Decker of Farm Bureau Financial Services and Dave Moore of Businessolver. Students from 11 high schools participated in the daylong stock trading simulation.
