Bankers Trust’s Emily Abbas was recently a main-stage panelist at the Financial Brand Forum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The conference focused on marketing, customer experience and digital transformation in the banking and credit union industries and was attended by 2,000 executives from around the country. The panel Abbas sat on was moderated by Jim Marous, owner and CEO of the Digital Banking Report, and Abbas said his questions primarily focused on trends and technologies disrupting the future of financial marketing. I asked for Abbas to share a key piece of advice that she offered to the audience. She wrote: “Don’t let perfection or indecision be barriers. It is up to marketers to constantly try new things, test and learn, and to know that some things we try will likely fail. You can’t get to where you need to be as a team or company if you wait to start until your data is perfect and your systems are aligned.”
