Iowa Tourism Office launches distillery passport program

People can now explore some of the state’s distilleries for a chance to win prizes, and get discounts on products. The Iowa Tourism Office has launched the Iowa distillery digital passport, which provides a free mobile road map to distilleries statewide. The new passport joins existing digital passports for state parks, scenic byways, wineries, breweries and farm experiences. “We’re delighted to add distilleries to our family of passports,” Amy Zeigler, state tourism manager for the Iowa Tourism Office, said in a news release. “It’s an additional way to create awareness for Iowa’s distilleries while encouraging people to visit the locations, unlock deals and earn prizes.” Users sign up to receive a free digital passport to the mobile device, and upon visiting participating distilleries, participants may check in using a unique four-digit PIN code available online and present their passport to distillery staff to redeem discounts.
