More than 10,000 employees of Fareway Stores Inc. will receive bonus pay up to $500 as a thank-you for their work during 2021. According to a news release, the bonus checks will be distributed on Thursday. Reynolds W. Cramer, CEO of the Boone-based grocer, said the checks are a show of appreciation for the company’s employees. “Our store and market employees, office and campus staff, warehouse personnel, and transportation department have risen to the challenges faced during 2021,” he said. In an additional statement, company officials said 2021 “presented additional challenges on the heels of those presented in 2020. We want our family of employees to know how much we appreciate them for their incredible work during the past year.”
