The series is considered the nation’s most prestigious youth soccer competition, Catch Des Moines reported. The 48-team Des Moines event will be July 7-11, 2021, at the James W. Cownie Soccer Complex, and is expected to bring a $2.1 million economic impact. Catch Des Moines President and CEO Greg Edwards said the event comes as leaders discuss expanding the Cownie complex and possibly building a soccer stadium to host a professional team.
