Americorps to work at Whiterock Conservancy
An AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps team from Vinton will work to improve the landscape at Whiterock Conservancy near Coon Rapids from March 11 through April 23. Whiterock is a nonprofit land trust along the Middle Raccoon River. The Vinton team will help control invasive species, perform prescribed burns, install educational signs and improve campsites. The team is part of a program that includes 2,800 people nationally in full-time service for 10 months.
