Teens Against Human Trafficking to hold July 23 fundraiser
Teens Against Human Trafficking will mix after-hours music with education during an inaugural fundraising event on July 23 at West End Salvage. Andrew Allen, the new CEO of Youth & Shelter Services, will emcee the event. Ruth Buckels, YSS Achieving Maximum Potential (AMP) coordinator, will share her experiences as the mother of a human trafficking survivor. Musical entertainers will include Bonne Finken, Chad Elliott, James Biehn, Tony Bohnenkamp and Mary McAdams. The youth-led nonprofit organization’s mission is to raise awareness about human trafficking through the powerful voice of young people, educating themselves and their communities. Tickets are available online.
