The American Red Cross serving Greater Iowa will host its inaugural Iowa Resiliency Summit on July 29. The event will focus on making Iowa a more prepared and resilient state by building at the community and individual level, as well as exploring how community organizations can work together to ensure Iowans are prepared for and able to recover from disasters. The event will feature several speakers and will conclude with a panel discussion and question and answer session. The summit runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Fred Maytag II Boy Scout Center, located at 6123 Scout Trail, Des Moines. Individuals can still register online.
